Camera Exposure Guide

During his talk last Monday Dennis covered camera exposure and in particular the exposure triangle. For those of you who were unable to attend his talk or simply want to a quick refresher I found this in a Twitter feed today.

  1. An excellent example of the exposure triangle and the associated controls/impact of changing settings on each of the axes. The best way to learn this is to try combinations that work, and ones that don't ...and learn from the experience. Almost all choices of exposure will involve a compromise on some of the aspects...it is getting to the best combination as soon as possible that helps...of course sometimes this means that you might have to try something new - which can't be a bad thing.

Have the courage to step away from the dreaded green rectangle or the P setting...it will pay dividends in time.
